Pre-order Sally Face: Strange Nightmares

Final Files are Submitted, Card Art, and Strange Boxes 4 and 5!

Hello Friends,

We come bearing finalized art! The last six cards of the Nightmare Deck are now complete. Take a look at the amazing colored art from Agnes!

Now that these are done, all final files have been submitted to the manufacturer! This means we can begin production of the game! First, they will start with a white box sample of the game. This is essentially just a blank version of the box and all components that will be sent to our team to ensure the size and shape of everything is correct. From there we can begin proper production. We will share pictures of this (and merch samples) as soon as we get our eager hands on them!

As of right now, we are still on track for our original estimated delivery date! Woohoo!

Strange Boxes #4 and #5

We have some exciting news! Strange Box #4 is getting ready to ship out to monthly subscribers shortly with new and improved packaging!

Packaged in a brand new stylized box with more protective internal packaging and puzzles printed on sturdier paper, Strange Boxes 4-12 will be better than ever!

As stated above, Box #4 will begin to ship to monthly subscribers shortly with Box #5 also shipping out later this month. We are working on box #6 still but as soon as that is done, we can get our wonderful quarterly subscribers their second box!

Nightmare Deck Update and Quarterly Box #2 Timeline!

Hello Friends,

We come bearing art! The last six cards of the Nightmare Deck are being finalized. The below images are the line art from the ever-talented Agnes Garbowska. She is one of our favorite artists and we are incredibly excited to have her help us round out the card art!

Once these are finished, we will turn the last of our final files in. That means we are right on time to begin the production process by the end of the month!

Strange Boxes Timeline

Quarterly box #1 has already arrived for some of you, with the rest of them on the way! As for Quarterly Box #2, we are working on catching up to prevent an extended wait. We are currently projecting that Monthly box 6 will be ready in Early March. As soon as those boxes are ready to go, we will pair them with boxes 4 and 5 and post an update letting everyone know that they are going out!

Thank you all for your patience and support while we work behind to scenes to get everyone the best games and boxes we can! Next update, we should be able to officially announce that all files are turned in and approved! Exciting stuff heading into the new year :)

Strange Boxes Update and Final Files Are Under Review!

We would like to take a moment to express our sincere apologies for the delay in shipping the first installment of the Quarterly Strange Boxes Subscription. We want you to know that we have been diligently working behind the scenes to not only prepare Box 3 for shipment but also to implement measures that will prevent extended wait times like this in the future. Your support means the world to us, and we genuinely appreciate your patience during this time. We would like to extend a special thank you to backers like Caleb Solano, who took the time to provide constructive feedback regarding the delays. Comments like these offer us valuable insights and motivate us to become a better company for all of you.

Strange Boxes

With that said, we are thrilled to announce that we will commence shipping out Quarterly Boxes next week! For most of you, there is no need to take any action, as we already have your information from your Backerkit survey. However, if you have changed your address since completing your survey or have not yet filled out your survey and pledged for a Strange Boxes subscription, please take a moment to update your information HERE to ensure that everything reaches you smoothly.

Final Files

Our final files are currently undergoing review by our manufacturer. Once finalized with the printer, we will officially transition into production!

Merchandise Approvals, Next Steps, and an Update on Strange Boxes!

Hello Friends,

Long time no see! We have been hard at work on all kinds of things behind the scenes as we continue our journey to get you all the best Sally Face game and products you deserve.

In this update, we will talk about merchandise, the next steps for the Kickstarter, and Strange Boxes. First things first, let's show off some awesome (and officially approved) merch!

Merchandise

We've approved the pre-production samples and paint masters for the figures, the teacup and saucer, the keychains, the pins, and MORE. What are paint masters you ask? Well, Paint Masters are used by the factory to show us exactly what the production copies will look like so we can give feedback before production begins. That means that what you see in the above collage serves as a fantastic preview of everything to come in your pledges!

Next Steps

With these merchandise approvals done and dusted, all that is left is getting the files for the game itself finalized! Based on the fan feedback we received at both Gencon and Essen (thank you again to everyone who stopped by to play to game or just to say hi) we estimate that we will finalize all files next month🎉🎉🎉

From there we can begin moving into production and we will keep you updated with any developments going forward!

Strange Boxes

Finally, we have been receiving some questions about the Sally Face: Strange Boxes Quarterly Subscription. Monthly subscribers have received boxes 1 and 2 and we are very happy to see that people have been happy with the product they have received. For everyone here, we plan to send out the quarterly boxes at the same time as box 3 begins to ship out to monthly subscribers; however, we are currently behind on getting these out due to the bonus item for box 3.

The bonus for the 3rd box for everyone who has been following along on maestromedia.com is a polaroid of a mysterious and shadowy figure. The reason we are delayed is that it took us some time to identify a proper printer for this item.

After box 3, we will look to get back on schedule by getting boxes 4 and 5 out after. We will catch up don't you worry!

In the meantime, we want to thank you for your continued patience and support. You guys absolutely rock and we promise we will let everyone know once these start going out!

August Update: Pre-Press Copy & Gen Con

We're celebrating because it's Sally Face's birthday! That's right, 7 years ago TODAY the incredible Sally Face - Episode One: Strange Neighbors was released on Steam and itch.io. Join us in celebrating the groundbreaking, award-winning game that brought us all together by posting your favorite Sally Face memory all over social media and tagging @portablemoose and @themaestroteam!

On the game front, we have some HUGE NEWS! We've received the pre-press copy of the game for inspection! What does that mean? Before we print THOUSANDS of games (thank you again for your amazing support!), these pre-press copies are sent to us so we can review/give feedback/correct any mistakes. With such a complicated game we are expecting to find a few things that need correcting and our evil scientists are digging through their copies as we speak! In the meantime, check out these amazing photos of the game and your fellow fans who recently got a sneak peek!

If you didn’t already know, The Maestro Team journeyed to Gen Con last week! That's actually where we got the pre-press copies of the game from - these copies traveled via plane and suitcase to get into our eager hands! Between all the demos (and trying to pry the game out of our team's hands) it was quite a busy four days, but I was able to sneak some photos into the collage above! 

We'll be back soon! We've also got some pre-production copies of some of the merch to show off - and you’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for that!
